Dispatch/Radio Operator (Cagayan de Oro & Iligan)

Duties and Responsibilities:

1.Mans the UN radio room and operates VHF radio communication equipment
2.Records security incidents on database
3.Conducts periodic radio checks and prepares reports of compliance
4.Tracks UN staff members travelling within the region
5.Provides assistance through phone and/or radio to staff members when needed
6.Work with local LSA to contact agency security focal points regarding matters affecting staff security
7.Maintains in good order all radio room equipment, gadgets, programs and files
8.Issues loaner radios to staff members when required

This is a temporary position for a period 6 months. Extension of term is not guarranteed.


Minimum Qualifications:

1.Graduate of any course, preferably with relevant technical training.
2.Computer literate (MS Office, MS Word, Excel, etc.)
3.English proficient both written and oral
4.With NBI and police clearances
5.Radio operator experience, familiarity with radio communications or experience as call center agent an added advantage
6. Preferably with experience or skill in pubilc safety but is not mandatory
7.Ability and willingness to work extended shifts
