Sales Marketing Officer Fulltime

Sales and Marketing officer help determine the best strategies to increase room and event bookings. He/she assists higher management in developing reasonable sales goals, oversees the activities of the sales team, and collaborates with the marketing team to expand hotel service presence. Additional responsibility includes recommending improvements to current sales strategies, informing potential and existing customers/clients of company promotions, as well as preparing accurate sales and expense reports. He/ She will continually identify new sales opportunities through customer referrals.


*2+ years experience working in a hotel, sales and marketing or guest services 


Responsibilities and Duties (but not limited to):

● Developing and sustaining long-lasting relationships with customers;

● Conducts coaching to sales and front office team when needed;

● Answering guest’s questions and escalating complex issues to the relevant departments as needed;

● Developing in-depth knowledge of the hotel services;

● Responsible for filing all the documents related to corporate accounts (Sendbill & Contracted);

● Collaborating with the Sales and front office Team to ensure that the hotel is reaching its target audience;

● Informing department heads of possible service improvements and changes to ensure that hotel services meet current market needs;

● Provide after sales customer service (get guest’s feedback);

● Answering calls, emails and other important inquiries from the guest;

● Ensures all guests and customers’ good account standing (payables/collections).

● Analyzing competitors’ services to determine service features, benefits, shortfalls, and market success.

● Required to have good knowledge of all hotel facilities, hours of operation, function and hotel rooms;

● In charge of posting function signage and TV presentation when required;

● Responsible for the upkeep of all the equipment’s that can be used during and after function such as microphones (wireless & wired), white screen, projector with AVR, extension wires, sound system, UV landlite with remote (small & big), microphone condenser, flag with pole, eraser and marker;

● Responsible for the upkeep of all the equipment which he/she is using i.e., telephone, mobile phone, laptop and desktop;

● Respond to internal audits to ensure continual improvement is achieved;

● Assists in maintaining a safe work environment for all team members and guests through visual inspection of common area(s) during shift;

● Submit collection report twice a month to managing director;

● Ensures proper implementation of contract commitments to guest through banquet event order (BEO) during function;

● Provides copies of BEO to all concern department before the event;

● Ensure that all group booking reservation of accommodation and function booking are all inputted in the hotel system (EDESIA & XENIA);

● Closely working with F&B and other concerned departments regarding the details of the confirmed functions.

● Responsible to ensure food quality and presentation are followed during group bookings and events;

● Responsible for maintaining service quality and presentation during group bookings and events;

● Full compliance with the Company’s policies and procedures;

● Other tasks deemed necessary for the job
