Position Overview:
As a Product Owner specializing in the Billing domain, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the direction of our billing-related products and services. Leveraging your extensive industry experience, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define, prioritize, and deliver features and enhancements that meet the needs of our customers, while aligning with business goals.
Responsibilities:
● Domain Expertise: Bring deep knowledge and expertise in the Billing domain to the product development process, acting as the go-to resource for all things related to billing processes, systems, and industry best practices.
● Product Strategy: Collaborate with stakeholders to define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for billing-related solutions. Translate customer needs, market trends, and business objectives into clear product requirements.
● Requirements Gathering: Elicit, document, and prioritize detailed requirements based on customer feedback, market research, and regulatory considerations. Ensure a comprehensive understanding of user needs and pain points.
● Feature Prioritization: Evaluate feature requests and prioritize them based on business value, customer impact, technical feasibility, and other relevant factors. Make informed decisions that optimize the product's value proposition.
● User Stories and Acceptance Criteria: Create and maintain user stories, acceptance criteria, and other artifacts necessary for effective development. Ensure that development teams have a clear understanding of what needs to be built.
● Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with development, design, QA, marketing, and other teams to ensure seamless execution of the product roadmap. Provide guidance, answer questions, and facilitate communication to drive project success.
● Release Planning: Participate in release planning, sprint planning, and daily stand-up meetings. Monitor progress and address any roadblocks that may impact the successful delivery of features.
● User Feedback: Solicit and incorporate feedback from customers and end-users to continuously improve the product. Act as the voice of the customer within the development process.
● Market Analysis: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitors' offerings in the Billing domain. Use this knowledge to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
Qualifications:
● Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Product Owner or related role, with a significant focus on the Billing domain. Previous experience in ISP or Telecom is highly desirable.
● Domain Knowledge: In-depth understanding of billing processes, revenue recognition, subscription models, pricing strategies, and related concepts within [Industry/Market].
● Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to convey complex ideas and concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
● Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions and balance competing priorities effectively.
● Collaboration: Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence without direct authority. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments is a plus.
● Customer-Centric: A passion for understanding customer needs and a demonstrated commitment to delivering exceptional user experiences.
● Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment. Able to adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
● Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience. Advanced degrees or certifications related to billing or product management are a plus.
