The Purchasing Staff is responsible for administering everyday activities of purchasing staff. One secures quality suppliers of materials and components covering price, delivery and quality targets.
Education and Experience:
Ø Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics or any related field may be required
Ø Must have atleast 2 years of experience in the similar position
Organizational Skills:
Ø Possession of good time management skills
Ø Keen to information and details in monitoring the performance of the department
Communication Skills:
Ø Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Ø Good negotiation skills
Ø Must be able to understand, follow and pass instructions to employees to carry out without erring
Ø Effectively communicates to the management committee (Mancom) regarding the department’s overall performance and suggested action plans to improve business financial goals
Analytical Skills:
Ø Accuracy and meticulous attention to detail
Computer Skills:
Ø Competency in MS Office, format reports, databases, and presentation tools
Ø Proficient in the relevant management software programs
Physical Requirements:
Ø Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Ø Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds at times.
May travel as required.
