Accounting Intern
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The internship program aims to immerse top-tier university students in the startup experience by giving them projects across the different teams where they are most needed. The projects may vary in length, complexity, status, and scope but will help the company and the interns grow. The interns are expected to grow throughout the internship, developing the professionalism required in the workspace and gradually taking on more responsibility for their projects.
The Accounting intern will be assigned to the Finance team.
The intern will have a comprehensive introduction to the company by sitting down with representatives from the different departments and verticals
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The purpose of this role is to assist in timely and accurate data input and documentation of financial transactions in the company’s accounting system.
The ideal candidate will work closely with the Accounting Senior Manager in preparing accurate and timely financial information. The ideal candidate will assist the Accounting Senior Manager in the ongoing accounting system migration from Zoho books to Oracle Netsuite.
Execute timely and accurate data input and documentation of financial transactions in the etaily’s accounting system (Zoho Books/Oracle Netsuite)
Assist in daily bank reconciliation of all bank accounts in applicable currencies (USD, PHP, SGD)
Assist in Maintaining systematic monitoring and reconciliation of accounts movements and variances
Work closely with the Accounting Specialist in preparing accurate and timely financial information and reports
Assist in routing and compiling relevant documents/requirements related to accounting, tax, and other regulatory compliance.
Provide timely feedback, escalation, recommendations, and ad-hoc requests within Finance Team
YOUR PROFILE
Candidates must be currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Accountancy, Management, or any equivalent. The right profile must have a working knowledge of the internet and e-commerce sector and your high drive and ambition to perform. Independence, flexibility, and speed are as important to you, and entrepreneurial drive, sales attitude, and the ability to achieve goals in a fast-paced environment complete your profile.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
Must be currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Accountancy, Management, or any equivalent
Proficient in Microsoft Office and ability to quickly adapt to new software and tools
Proactive and problem-solving attitude
Analytical, data-driven mindset
