• LABORATORY ANALYST JOB DESCRIPTION
• POSITION PURPOSE:

To support in the attainment of the department objective through efficient and uninterrupted laboratory operations.

• ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  
• Carry out the necessary chemical tests for raw materials and finished products.
  
• Receive raw materials samples and assign laboratory sample code.
  
• Validate the initial physical inspection done for raw materials.
  
• Prepare and issue Complaint/Rejection report whenever the inspected raw materials/packaging material is not whining the acceptable quality standard.
  
• Inspect samples of delivered packaging materials (i.e. sacks, liners and tags) and raw materials.
• Responsible for the safekeeping of retention samples and their disposal.
• Perform verification of certain laboratory equipments.
  
• Prepare reagents to be used for analysis.
  
• Prepare feed samples upon request.
• Monitor chemical and other laboratory supplies.
• Assign task to the laboratory aid whenever needed.
• In-charge of filing, retention and disposal of all QA reports and logbooks.
• Prepare Finished Product Inspection Report and Evaluation Report.
• Acts as custodian of all laboratory equipment and materials and ensure they are in proper location and in good condition at all times.
• In charged of the management of laboratory wastes.
• Comply with the environment policies and workplace safety measures being implemented in the laboratory or by the company as a whole.
