Purchasing Specialist Fulltime

Basic Responsibilities:




  • Researching and identifying prospective suppliers.
  • Preparing proposals, requesting quotes, and negotiating purchase terms and conditions.
  • Preparing and issuing purchase orders and agreements.
  • Monitoring supplier performance and resolving issues and concerns.
  • Inspecting and evaluating the quality of purchased items and resolving shortcomings.
  • Complying with company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in the related field
  • Experience in the related field in a food manufacturing firm
  • Understanding of quality management systems, food standards, laws and regulations, inspection procedures
  • Excellent leadership and time management skills
  • Excellent reporting and monitoring skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to learn new things, highly motivated
  • Monitoring skills and ability to make decisions, coordinate and direct clearly with all cross functional team
  • Computer literate, organized and systematic
  • Can work with less supervision
  • Can handle pressure and conflict
  • Good team player
