Company Nurse Job Description
- Company nurses provide basic healthcare services to a company’s employees. They may be responsible for providing general first aid when needed, along with assessing employee health risks and promoting employee health.
Company Nurse Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain all medical records of the employees and record medical history and symptoms of employees and guests
- Monitor stock inventories in the clinic
- Develop and implement health and safety programs in the workplace
- Administer over the counter medications and and educate the employees about management of illness
- Document injury and present/past illness and keep this information confidential
Company Nurse Skills and Qualifications
- Must be a Licensed Nurse (RN) duly accredited by the Philippine Regulatory Commission
- First Aid Experience / Training – Company nurses should have first aid experience and know how to handle emergency situations that employees may experience
- Communication Skills – These professionals are skilled communicators, in both verbal and written mediums
- Bedside Manner – Company nurses have good bedside manner as they need to be able to comfort employees who are in pain and explain problems clearly.
