BOOM MARINE CORPORATION is in need of ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT with the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics
- Supervisory or managerial experience in Accounting, financial reporting and general ledger area
- Knowledge of bookkeeping, accounting principles practices and standards, laws and regulations
- Ability to handle large amount of data
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong leadership and ability to direct and supervise
- Good in written and verbal communication skills
- Computer skills in MS Office, accounting software and data base
Duties and Responsibilities:
Accounting Assistant is responsible for analyzing financial information and preparing tax liabilities, monitoring aged receivables of customers; and preparing payroll for direct hired employees under non-confidential payroll.
Computes taxes owed and prepares tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting and other tax requirements.
- Interacts with company’s third party Legal Compliance.
- Prepares monthly and quarterly remittance to BIR (such as VAT, ITR, and Withholding Tax).
- Responsible in the preparation of Statement of Account and monitoring status of receivables for all customers. Prepares Weekly Aged Receivables Report and submits to management.
- Submits report, recommendations and updates to management on matters related to Accounting activities and issues.
- Performs other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.
