Platyppines Media Solutions is looking for a social media specialist to join their Social Media Team. We’re looking for a recent graduate who is looking to gain skills in social media, customer relationship management, and execution of effective strategies.
The Social Media Specialist will support the strategy and execution of our client\\\‘s social media channels aimed at building brand awareness and product/service education to their consumers. The Social Media Specialist will work with the team to develop innovative social media content, measure and report on social analytics, and develop creative concepts. Understands how the social media impacts brand reputation.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day social media campaigns and communities on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Linkedin, pinterest and other emerging platforms
- Curate relevant content to reach the audience most likely to engage, work with and/or advocate on behalf of our brands
- Be the subject-matter expert on our clients’ services, products, industry, and community
- Serve as the key and immediate listening arm to monitor and flag conversations and trends
- Assist in planning and managing the publishing calendar, social objectives, messaging, writing posts, sourcing or creating the visual images for these posts, aligning to the overall product and marketing plan
- Implement best practices for social listening, uploading, tagging, reporting, and optimization of channels
- Grow engagement, reach, referral traffic and conversions through proactive organic and paid campaigns
- Manage day-to-day reactive and proactive communications on all key social media channels
- Analyze, review and report on effectiveness of campaigns to maximize results
- Monitor trends in social media tools, applications, channels, designs and strategies
- Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information.
- Perform other related duties as required
We are looking for a Social Media Specialist with:
- Bachelor’s or College Degree: Marketing/Journalism, Mass Communication, Advertising/Media, Art/Design, Multimedia or equivalent.
- High level knowledge of dominant social media platforms
- Basic knowledge and experience of social media management software
- Strong professional written and verbal communication skills
- Sound editorial judgment with an informed POV on content that will appeal to various brand demographics
- Confidence to take the lead and guide the team when necessary
- Ability to handle multiple tasks with changing priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Ability to work within tight deadlines, adjust to changes in priorities, and balance short term needs with long term strategic initiatives
- Confidence to actively participate in discussions and contribute to bringing fresh new ideas that drive results for social media
- Ability to quickly learn clients’ backgrounds, customers, and industries; processes; workflows; tools; and other skills to meet team’s needs
- Confidence to share opinions and suggest improvements
- Effective collaboration skills, a team player
