Telesales Supervisor

General Purpose of Position:
This position will be accountable for the sales/renewal/service goals, employee development and team productivity for outbound sales calls. This position will oversee the day to day operations for their team as well as ongoing improvement opportunities, process and maintain department attendance and punctuality reporting, KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators), and provide feedback, coaching, and motivation to associates, handle call escalations, and review/distribute daily reports and other duties as assigned.

Summary of Responsibilities:

• Leads, directs and coordinates the daily operation and associate’s activities in the Telesales area
• Effectively provides leadership, motivation, coaching, training and counseling of its associates
• Leads associates in effectively meeting and/or exceeding aggressive sales and renewal goals. Heavy emphasis placed on sales goals and standards
• Effectively leads and coaches associates in utilizing consultative negotiation/sales and customer service skills to identify sales/renewal opportunities of existing customers
• Effectively coach associates to identify and overcome customer objections with the purpose of selling products and services
• Continuously reviews manual/autodialing strategies and trending providing solutions to optimize efficiencies and maximize sales opportunities
• Supervises and monitors associates in updating and maintaining files in Lead Management, Auto dialer and all applicable systems consistently to ensure data integrity
• Proactively escalates unusual issues to the manager for further review
• Supervises and monitors daily activities of associates to ensure desired productivity, quality and sales/renewal/customer service objectives are met
• Assists manager in developing, implementing and monitoring of measurable productivity.
• Assists manager with the creation and implementation of incentive and recognition programs
• Calibrates with QA and management team regularly to ensure Quality Assurance standards are met
• Communicates directly with Client Services, Exceptions and Claims departments to resolve escalated issues
• Daily/weekly/monthly reporting of Telesales team KPI statistics
• Works with manager to create/update schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained.
• In the absence of the manager, performs any duties assigned to allow for the continued successful operation of the Telesales Department

• Other duties and Special Projects as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and practical experience
• 2+ years direct supervisory out-bound sales experience
• 2+ years in a heavy sales environment
• Ability to coach and develop associates in consultative sales tactics
• High energy with a proven track record in a quota driven, compensation based structure
• Excellent leadership, motivational, interpersonal and customer service skills
• Ability to demonstrate success in implementing effective sales/performance incentives
• Detail oriented with excellent follow up, creativity, organizational, written and oral skills
• Problem solver, analytical and advanced negotiations skills
• Advanced PC skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office
