The technician is tasked with fixing the plant’s mechanical problems. He roves the entire plant at the beginning of his shift to observe machine behavior and prevent major mechanical troubles. His main duties are:
Conduct preventive maintenance every two weeks by checking mechanical seal for leak, lubrication, pump mounting, motor alignment, pump vibration and temperature
Conduct annual preventive maintenance by checking the bearings, shaft and sleeve, casing and impeller, bearing housing, coupling, pump mountings, motor alignment, pump vibration and temperature.
Repairs spare pumps and other machines
Prepares spare parts in the shop so that there will be back-up supplies when needed
Provide mechanical maintenance support to sister companies
Other tasks that may be assigned from time to time
QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidate must possess a Diploma/Bachelor’s/College Degree Electro-Mechanical Technology, Mechanical Technology, or equivalent
With at least 2-3 years of related work experience in mechanical maintenance in a manufacturing plant
Knowledgeable in operating machining (lathe, CNC, or related) is an advantage
Familiar with the basics of Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW)
Highly responsible and with positive working attitude
