LOCAL COMMUNITY FACILITATOR
(Southern Bukidnon based)

Overall Purpose of the Position
Facilitate program and project activities in partner communities and contribute to the continuing program development and strategic partnerships for resilience building in Southern Bukidnon
Responsibilities:
- Program and Project Facilitation Support
- Assist in coordinating, facilitating and implementing activities for the lifescape programs and project, based on the agreed Project workplan;
- Coordinate and liaise with community partners and other stakeholders involved in the program and project implementation and related activities;
- Assist in capacity-building activities among Partners;
- Ensure proper logistical preparations required for the effective implementation of the program and project activities;
- Assist in program and project documentation and evaluation, and facilitate learning and reflection with the team and partners;
- Provide feedback to the community partners on progress of program and project;
- Support in networking activities;
- Provide regular and timely reporting on program and project implementation, accomplishments and concerns from field;
- Provide regular and timely inputs for program and project report; and
- Assist in data-gathering and baselining.
Other Function
- Participate in institutional meetings and other related activities for project, program and organizational development;
- Maintain an orderly filing system for both hard and soft copies of program and project documents, reports, pictures, and other documents;
- Prepare monthly work plan, monthly accomplishment report and back to office reports (BTORs) as needed;
- Adhere to HR, Finance and Administrative policies and procedures; and
- Perform other tasks that may be assigned by Line Manager
Qualifications:
- Degree in Community or Social Development work or relevant major;
- At least three years working experience with Indigenous Peoples, direct work with Manobo tribes in Southern Bukidnon is an advantage;
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written; able to write and communicate in
- English and Filipino; proficiency in the local languages in Southern Bukidnon an additional advantage;
- Good interpersonal skills, ability to interact and engage with different groups/ types of people, with a range of Samdhana partners, from communities, government agencies and other stakeholders;
- Creative, innovative, open, independent and can work very well as part of multi-cultural team;
- Ability and willingness to take on multiple tasks and perform well in a demanding, high pressure and fast-changing work environment;
- Willing to be assigned and base in Southern Bukidnon
