Job Description
We are hiring for a CAD Draftsman
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare Parametric modelling & Complete Drawings Sets with BOM’s
2. Print and issue drawings when and as required.
3. Prepare accurate and consistent CAD drawings that adhere to company requirements; this includes preparation of construction drawing sets, sales/marketing drawings and other as required.
4. Perform related duties as assigned by the Engineering Manager
5. Drawing of yard plans as required in 2D Solid edge Program
6. 3D CAD Modeling in Onshape as required.
7. Organizing yard plans and keeping team updated with new plans
8. Point plans for stakeouts as required
9. Save and index blocks as drawn
10. Maintain design narrating with plans of key benefits eg, holding capacity, operator path, stock flow, stock free etc
Qualifications:
1. Technical degree or certificate from an accredited designer/drafter program.
2. At least two years technical experience for 3D modelling and Drafting.
3. With experience on 3D CAD Onshape program, Smartsheets, and various Microsoft Office programs on a daily basis.
4. Familiarity with reading mechanical drawings and blueprints.
5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
6. An understanding of manufacturing principles is an advantage
7. Good communication skills.
8. Good interpersonal, analytical, problem solving and multi-tasking skills.
