Checks all specimen requests received for examination.

• Sets laboratory procedure and calibrates machine and equipment.
• Performs blood, urine, stool and other body fluid examinations.
• Double-checks the results before recording and releasing.
• Updates procedures and checks daily the availability of reagents and supplies.
• Takes charge in preparing reagents necessary for performing the examinations.
• Does trouble shooting procedures and performs preventive measures in handling laboratory equipment and apparatus.
• Takes care of the maintenance and proper care of the equipment and glass wares than they are properly placed before and after use.
• Reports anything unusual or problems in the are of responsibility to the Chief Med. Tech, who take appropriate action.
• Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology.
• Preferably, a Registered Medical Technologist (RMT).
