Job description:
We are looking for a passionate Full-Stack Developer to join our backend team whom are working on an exciting and evolving programme which delivers real-time marketing capabilities.
You will collaborate daily with other developers to expand and improve our current inhouse platforms and work to deliver elegant solutions as well as troubleshoot issues as they arises.
Key responsibilities:
- Translate designs and wireframes into high quality code.
- Test, deploy and maintain Node.js based services.
- Optimise applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Investigate, troubleshoot and perform detailed root cause analysis of issues that may occur in live systems.
- Undertake performance tuning, improvement, balancing, usability and automations duties.
- Participate in brainstorming and open discussions to evolve applications.
- Integrate multiple data sources and databases.
Experience:
- 2+ years of Node.js development experience.
- 2+ years of Java development experience.
- Substantial JavaScript experience.
- Previous exposure to a variety of development methodologies, test automation tools and frameworks.
- Exposure of working in tight deadlines to meet sprint commitments.
- Experience of performing peer code reviews with other team members.
Technical Skills and Qualifications:
- BA in computer science or similar relevant field.
- Ability to communicate well with product owners and stakeholders.
- Experience with Spring framework.
- Experience with React.js
- Proficient in front-end technologies, such as HTML5, and CSS.
- Competencies in REST & SOAP APIs.
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL
- Clear understanding of source control management.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodology.
- Familiarity with Jenkins, Docker and AWS.
